CAS-ual Fridays - No Stamps!

Ok, so normally I would start panicking at the thought of no stamps, but I was so excited when I saw this weeks challenge, because I was already making this card and it wasn't going to have any!!!yippee!
My housemate from Uni was turning 30 and I wanted to make a card using my newly mended (the power cord was broken) silhouette. I used a file I'd designed before Christmas for my brothers birthday card (here) and just changed the number. I was so inspired to get out my promarkers and show them some love that I raided some old B&W 6x6 papers and choose one to colour in rainbow style!

Here you can see the part of the 6x6 I didn't colour!

Go look at all the other great projects without stamps at CASual Fridays!

edit - I just missed the deadline - doh!

I'll be back soon!

I'm having a horrendous time with the laptop at the moment. It crashes sporadically (approx every 10 minutes!) whilst I'm in the middle of doing things and I've come to the conclusion I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and get the whole thing wiped and start from scratch. This will involve exporting all my files, losing some things (including some programs) and basically being hassle, but hopefully it will be worth it. I have about 7 cards to post, but every time I try to edit the pictures it keeps crashing. I've finally got some done, and as long as I keep my post reasonably short I should be ok. (Plus Blogger does save frequently, so I might only lose small amounts).
Anyway, sorry for the boring post, but thought I should update!

The books nearly ready!

I am so excited that the book I have written is off to print today! Its been about 7 months since I pitched the idea of a book to the publishers at 10ofthose and after a final few days of discussions with the designers we are 100% happy with the book and its off to print!
Its going to be released at a big Christian event called New Word Alive at Easter! Anyway, here's the cover to whet your appetite!

Vintage French Flowers

The challenge this month at Fantastic Ribbons was to make a mothers day card, sadly I have no one to make one for, but here is a card I made for my lovely Aunt whose birthday was last week. I used a kraft card base and a selection of wallpapers from the Galerie Memories papers I was given. The main floral image is cut from a border. I added some faux stitching around the outside, some lovely senorita ribbon, then some layered circles and a button with twine. Ribbon and twine are from Fantastic ribbons. The sentiment is a printed one from Kirsty Wiseman, and is punched with a 1.5" circle punch.
I think this would make a lovely mothers day card if you changed the sentiment.
